Whirpool recall advice

Whirlpool have asked customers to check if they have been identified as a potential risk concerning certain models of Hotpoint and Indesit washing machines.

The company have launched a full product recall which is now live. That means that if you have an affected washing machine and have registered your appliance with Whirlpool, they will be in touch to invite you to schedule an appointment for a free-of-charge comparable replacement or in-home engineering repair on a date which is convenient for you.

If you own a washing machine from one of these brands that was made since 2014 and haven’t already checked if it’s affected, please do so as soon as possible.

Ongoing analysis and investigation by Whirlpool's safety team has identified a very small number of additional models which are affected by this fire safety risk. The model numbers are:

• WMFG 741 G UK
• WMAQG 741 P UK
• WMAQC 641 P UK

All owners of these three additional models should check if their appliance is affected, even if they have previously done so.
