Along with other Glasgow colleagues, I met with representatives of PCS Scotland this morning to discuss UK Government plans to close 8 of Glasgow's 16 Job Centres, including both Langside and Castlemilk in my constituency.
I welcome the support of PCS Union in opposing these measures, and thank them for some incredibly helpful information that they were able to share with us.
Though DWP bosses have assured us there will be no impact on jobs, PCS share our concerns about what these changes may mean for those using the Job Centre services in their communities and the shambolic, even underhand, way that the government has handled this sorry affair.
