Stewart McDonald, MP for Glasgow South, has praised local primary school pupils for becoming award-winning filmmakers as part of a campaign for a supermarket to serve their community.
Pupils at Castleton primary in Castlemilk made a documentary to highlight the lack of facilities in their area with their film - titled "It's Just Not Fair" - explaining the barriers local residents face in accessing their nearest big store.
After attending a viewing of the film, Stewart McDonald said:
"It was great to join the kids at Castleton Primary this morning to watch their campaign documentary about the need for a supermarket in Castlemilk - what a brilliant and engaged group of youngsters.
"I am very supportive of the efforts of the kids and Castlemilk Community and Business Association to secure a supermarket in this area of my constituency which currently does not have any."
