Kings Croft Community Group praised for Big Lottery win

Stewart McDonald, MP for Glasgow South, has praised Kings Croft Community Group after they received a share of over £8000 worth of funding from Big Lottery Fund Scotland.

Based in Croftfoot, the group run the Glencroft Community Hall, a local community facility. The funding will help to run two groups providing structured play activities to children and parents, one Parent and Toddler group for children aged between 8 months – 5 years, and one group for children with autism aged between 3 – 8 years and their families.

Commenting, Stewart McDonald MP said:

“I was delighted to hear Kings Croft Community Group was one of only a handful of groups across the whole of Scotland that were successful in receiving a bumper grant from the Lottery.

“Everyone at Kings Cross Community Group can now look forward to a fabulous summer of various activities, which will bring local communities together.

“I congratulate the community group on their funding, wish them every success with their project and I extend my thanks to Big Lottery Fund Scotland for recognising the valuable contribution these projects make to the Southside of Glasgow. They have done themselves and Glasgow South proud.”
