Ending free movement "historically illiterate"

During the Immigration Bill debate, Stewart McDonald, MP for Glasgow South, said it would be historically illiterate to cheer the ending of freedom of movement.

The MP said the waters and the skies of Europe that were once filled with warring forces were now full of an easyJet generation of people darting across the continent, opening up economies and people’s minds.
